Pallet Guide
| The following diagrams show the major components of stringer and block pallets. Of these two types, the stringer pallet is the more common design used in the United States. |

| Both of the above designs show pallets with bottom deckboards. Pallets without bottom deckboards are often called skids (or single-face pallets). Note that, when describing the overall "footprint" of a pallet, the length is stated first and then the width (for example, a stringer pallet with 48" stringers and 40" deckboards is described as 48" x 40"). |
